Alumnus Returns After Half a Century — Enduring Ties with the Center
On September 15, the International Center for Land Policy Studies and Training warmly welcomed back Mr. Ngoc Diep Lam, an alumnus of the 13th Land Reform Training Course (1975), who visited with his wife and son, Mr. Minh Lam. Diep took part in the program during a period of great political upheaval in Vietnam; soon after completing his training he and his family emigrated to Finland in 1979. The land policy lessons and memories from his time in Taiwan remained deeply cherished and were frequently recounted to his children.

Fifty years on, and thanks to the coordination of his son, Diep was finally able to return to the place and take a walk on the campus. His visit not only revived treasured recollections of youth but also affirmed the long-lasting value of the Center’s international exchanges — where knowledge and friendships planted decades ago continue to endure.

P.S. We would like to thank Mr. Minh Lam, the son of alumnus Mr. Ngoc Diep Lam, for providing the video.
